Beggar Sect

The largest sect in the Jianghu. Righteousness, solidarity, and the discipline of the many.

The Beggar Sect is among the largest and most renowned in the martial world—and it is known for holding its own discipline to the highest standard. Its most legendary art, the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms, is passed to a single successor: the outgoing patriarch transfers not only the palm technique but the sect’s sacred Dog-Beating Cane and the martial arts that go with it. Only then does the new leader take the helm of the Beggar Sect.

When the empire grew and war spread across the land, the common people bore the cost and beggars were scorned. The sect stood up for righteousness and honour—and in the years that followed, it brought hope through solidarity and truth. To join the Beggar Sect is to stand with the overlooked and to carry that legacy into every season.

The Two Branches

Beggar Sect disciples follow either the way of the fist or the way of the cane. Both serve the front line; both defend the sect’s name.

  • Fist Branch

Front-line fighters who wield raw force and elemental power in battle. They excel at channelling internal and external strength into devastating strikes— the kind that can turn the tide when the sect’s honour is at stake. When the Beggar Sect steps into the fray, the fist branch is often at the front.

  • Cane Branch

Disciples who travel the Jianghu with the cane as their walking stick—and as their weapon. They move easily from place to place and defend themselves on the battlefield without fault, using techniques that disrupt and confound the enemy. Where the fist branch breaks the line, the cane branch holds it and turns the opponent’s momentum against them.

Your Path in the Jianghu

The Beggar Sect’s name carries weight precisely because it was earned in defence of the powerless. Master the fist or the cane—then walk the world with righteousness and leave your mark on the season before the cycle turns.
